Soft skills (behavioural skills) may seem like weak skills to you, but on the contrary, they are the most powerful skills a human being possesses to perform well in life and at work.  What’s more, soft skills are the skills that keep you at the top when your technical skills get you there.

“ Because we are convinced within the group of the power of individual support, the Ascensia Diabetes Care provides all its employees with an effective tool: coaching. Initially aimed at managers to help them adopt the manager-coach posture defined collectively in 2019, since 2023 this tool has been offered to all employees to develop their softskills, these interpersonal skills which, in my view, are the keys to success for innovating, ensuring our transformations and cultivating benevolent human links within teams. Obviously, this approach is part of a learning ecosystem in which you will continue to find other forms of support to encourage skills development (training, co-development, tutoring, etc.).

So we’ve joined forces with Meetmycoach, which shares the challenge of transforming soft skills into genuine professional assets to help us achieve our goals.

Meetmycoach’s coaches can help you identify your strengths and areas for improvement, define clear objectives and draw up an action plan to improve your soft skills in line with your manager and the Group’s guidelines.

I hope you have a great coaching experience! ”

How does coaching work?

A - Choosing a coach

First of all, you identify a few coaches who are right for you and with whom you’d like to work on your softskills. To help you make your choice, look at the coaches’ descriptions and videos. Take the time to look at the profiles carefully, and trust your instincts.

Then contact Stéphanie Lautecaze (the founder, who knows the coaches inside out) or Diana Cornelli for a 10-minute consultation to help you refine your choice of coach according to your needs.
If you are confident in your choice of coach and have no hesitation, you are not obliged to have an Advisory Meeting.

C - The various stages in putting coaching into practice

1- You have to inform your manager about this coaching program

2- You have attended a group meeting at Ascensia Diabetes Care to launch the coaching.

3- You must now choose 5 soft skills from the programmes above. Your choice of soft skills should be made in collaboration with your manager. The aim is for you to be able to talk to your manager before the start of your coaching so that you can work with him or her to identify areas for improvement. The development of your soft skills is there to help you achieve your objectives or overcome your difficulties. Within this framework, we have faith in you and your coach to look at what is most useful to you. So don’t hesitate to choose soft skills that are important to you personally, that are in line with the company’s standards and that you want to improve. Choosing your soft skills is a key aspect of good coaching.

4- Before your 1st coaching appointment, you will receive an initial self-assessment form containing your 5 soft skills choices.
You will be asked to self-assess your level of each soft skill selected on a scale of 1 to 10. This self-assessment will enable you to tailor your coaching to your specific needs, to focus your efforts on the most important skills and to monitor your progress more effectively.
You may not have the time to work on all the softskills you had planned at the outset, with some perhaps requiring more time than others (depending on your initial level). You will then enter the same value on your self-assessment.

D - Creating a safe and secure environment

Coaching is a personal and intimate process. That’s why trust and confidentiality are essential to us.
Stéphanie Lautecaze, the founder of Meetmycoach, is the only person who will be in contact with the HR department.

E - End of coaching

  • At the end of your 10 working sessions with your coach, you will receive a final self-assessment of the soft skills you have worked on to complete, in order to measure your progress. This information will be collected by Meetmycoach and will be anonymised before being aggregated and sent to the HR department.

  • You will have a final coaching meeting where you can talk about your experience and the impact of the 10 coaching sessions.

  • As a final step, you will arrange another meeting with your manager to review your coaching.

  • Finally, you will also be asked to complete a satisfaction questionnaire about the platform and the coaches, with a view to improving our services.

If you love your coach and don’t want to stop there, don’t worry! You are free to continue your coaching sessions after the 10 sessions paid for by your company. However, after the tenth session, they will be at your expense.

How the platform works

Frequently Asked Question

You create your user account when you make your first booking.
Select your coach and the time slot that suits you best and, as the payment method, enter the company code and validate the code.
When you log in for the first time, we will ask you for additional information and a password that will enable you to make new bookings, modify them or cancel them if necessary.

A coaching session lasts one hour. However, at your first appointment, your coach will explain how he or she works (each coach’s own frequency, different session lengths from 1 to 2 hours). Of course, the idea is to build your coaching space together, so don’t hesitate to point out anything you think is important.

If by some unfortunate chance you don’t feel comfortable with your coach, don’t worry, these things happen. You can change coaches by contacting Stephanie or Diana, who will help you find the right coach for you.

In principle, sessions take place via videoconferencing, but if your coach’s office is close to your home, you can also book face-to-face sessions online.

Your HR department will give you a company code to use on the platform. Each time you book an appointment with a coach, you’ll need to enter this code during payment to avoid paying for the session.

If you can’t make it, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your coaching session. Coaches are authorized to contact you to schedule a new appointment if you have not done so.

However, if you cancel within 24 hours, you will not be able to reschedule.

In the event of a technical problem on the platform, you can contact Emmanuel (platform referent) via the contact form.
